It was a brisk morning, a stark contrast from the heat of summer 2025, but that didn’t slow down the racers as they dove into the chilly waters of Reeds Lake. It was the Rhaodes McKee Reeds Lake Triathlon and racers were determined to give justice to the hard work and training that led them to this point. The course setup and stage of downtown East Grand Rapids matched the energy of the racers and gave spectators the opportunity to cheer their athlete on several times throughout the day. The day was electric and the energy stayed high long after racers finished... Maybe the brews from City Built Brewing at the awards party had something to do with it.
